I bought it to link up to Torque Pro app for my 2014 Mini Clubman S. but ended up using the OBDLink app instead. The OBDLink app has a great assortment of gauges and picks up all the signals and sensors on the N18 engine without setting up custom PIDS. This was a big surprise because that’s why I purchased Torque Pro. However (for BMW/MINI users) some of the sensors are not readily visible to Torque Pro without adding custom PID formulas – like boost readings. Great dongle, best I’ve had yet. Additionally, the OBDLink app also gives a lot of BMW specific trouble codes. that was a nice surprise as well.

Customer Review: I already have an older OBDII scanner but that one would not link with my 2021 Jeep Renegade when a “Service engine” error message and icon showed up the dash. The ZMOON ZM201 arrived this afternoon and I plugged it in to the Jeep and it immediately read error code P0128 cooling system. The new scanner could not completely erase the code but it did let me reset the warning message and icon on the dash. Since the engine temps all display normal on the HUD during normal driving I suspect an intermittent sensor issue (which are common issues with this Jeep). The ZMOON ZM201 works as it should and I am very happy with it — it has already paid for itself.

I suspected ignition coils. The tool scanned and reported a cylinder misfire, the data then transferred to my phone via Bluetooth. The app the generated a report which recommended replacing ignition coils and spark plug. This was spot on. After replacing the coils and spark plugs, the engine ran fine. I cleared the codes and the car has been running perfectly. I saved a thousand dollars on this repair. No joke. While tools like these are useful, the data they generate require experience to understand. This is where the app really shines. It cuts to the recommendation without having to understand all the nuances. Customer Review: The Xtool D7 is a very powerful and comprehensive diagnostic tool with an 8 PID count for Live Data, with the option of a normal list of graphs or a 2D overlay of all 8 PIDs that allows the filtering out of non relevant PIDs to be able to focus on the freeze frame action of specific PIDs as they interact with the other selected ones. There is also a grip on the slidebar so I can jump to the frame of interest. I prefer the real-time response from the 16 pin VGA style cable. Although the cable can be difficult to manage at times, the the 9′ extentiom cable allows me to watch the screen while under the hood. The buffering lag from Bluetooth devices leave me waiting that half second of response time to see the results of my action. With the functions of this mid-level tool, I can pinpoint the the cause of any or all of the components that are out of balance as well as why they are out of balance and by how far. Cleaning or replacing those components can then be verified, compared and recorded for several reasons, such as to check my work or provide a printout of the diagnostic path taken to resolve the issue and bring the system back into balance. At that point, I have spent a small amount money on parts and invested a moderate amount of money on tools, but the abillity to know which circuit could be causing an imbalance of my vehicle is of much more value then paying someone else to fix it for me, and still only wonder wich components or connectors might fail next. If the need for programming should arise, then I will know why, as well as how to minimize or prevent the need for future programming from here on. When every vehicle I’ve ever owned has been pre-owned or built from scrap, lol, and now most vehicles on the road are dependent on transisters to maintain a near perfect balance of the smooth function of that vehicle, then learning the language of electronic control of energy through digital communication becomes a valuable skill that can save the avarage novice a bundle of money on diagnostic and repair costs. The D7 has been a game changer for me, to have the knowledge of the function of my vehicles and maintain that balance for a reasonable investment of studying and observing the components involved and know the costly “what as well as why” answer to most any reason for that light to let me know that an issue IS present. A monthly diagnostic is less painful then a trip to the dentist. The customer service team is very dedicated and responded the very next day. They really do care that have I have purchased the device that will provide me with the level of diagnostic interaction that I am needing to assist me in keeping all of my vehicles in as near perfect balance as financially possible. I know from experience with a Launch X431 pad that I tried to use, that the process to success is to beg the development team for support that may never arrive. This is not the case with Xtool. They are very engaged, as well as knowledgeable to the needs of the customer. Customer Review: If you are looking for a good service tool and GREAT SERVICE AFTER THE SALE, this is the one for you! See below for details: The scanner MK900-BT arrived, and it was slightly used and already registered. I bought the unit on sale and Amazon does not have a replacement policy. They were going to simply refund my money, and I would have had to purchase another unit at full price or wait for another unit to go on sale. I contacted the seller via email autelsupply@outlook.com and explained the situation. They responded the next day and apologized for the mix-up. They said Amazon fulfillment probably checked the unit when it was returned, and thought would be OK to send out as it was still in the original packaging. The scanner worked fine, it just had some minor scratches on the screen protector, and it looked like it could have possibly had something spilled on it. I did not want to take a chance on that. Autel Tech offered to simply reregister the MK900-BT in my name or replace it with a brand-new unit. I chose to replace it with a new one, and they did not hesitate to send me a prepaid shipping label to return the used scanner and once they received it, they shipped me a brand-new unit. They even offered to send me a free accessory for all the trouble. I would not hesitate to purchase something from this seller again. The seller is Autel Tech. Working with this seller was better than dealing with Amazon. Thank you again Autel Tech for standing behind your products! The scanner is very nice. Easy to setup and use. The Bluetooth (BT) works great. I highly recommend BT over the cable. You can close the vehicle door and take the scanner all the way around the vehicle with no issues at all. I have used the Autel MK808-BT a good bit in the past and it works great. The MK900-BT does all the same features as well as many additional features. It also supports DIOP and Can FD out of the box. The bidirectional control works great. You can pulse fuel injectors, cooling fan relays, AC clutch, fuel pumps, window regulators, etc. if the vehicle supports these functions. This is a very nice feature packed scanner for the money. It seems to do everything that is advertised. I have used it on different make/model vehicles as old as 1998 and as new as 2017 and it seems to work fine on those models. Autel maintains software updates regularly. Updating the software is very easy and strait forward. Bottom line: If you are looking for a good service tool and GREAT service after the sale, you cannot go wrong with this one!
