Customer Reviews
Customer Review: At this point in time, this is a fantastic tool. I say this because of the free extended analysis and recommendation provided by the app on your phone. The tool collects the data and generates a report on your phone that is extremely helpful in diagnosing and repairing car problems. The tool itself is a very well made product with an easy to see display. Feels solid. It connects quickly and provides the scanner data that we expect to see when connected to the car. I am not a mechanic, but I am not afraid to dig into mildly complicated repairs and maintenance. I bought this tool when I had a check engine light come on during some rough engine idling. I suspected ignition coils. The tool scanned and reported a cylinder misfire, the data then transferred to my phone via Bluetooth. The app the generated a report which recommended replacing ignition coils and spark plug. This was spot on. After replacing the coils and spark plugs, the engine ran fine. I cleared the codes and the car has been running perfectly. I saved a thousand dollars on this repair. No joke. While tools like these are useful, the data they generate require experience to understand. This is where the app really shines. It cuts to the recommendation without having to understand all the nuances. Subsequently, I have taken some time to learn about scan tool modes and data from various YouTube videos and this has really enhanced the experience using this tool. Trust, but verify, you know. I am very satisfied with this scan tool and the free repair application. As long as the app remains free, this is a very useful tool. You can learn a lot and it works better than any other scan tool I have owned. Highly recommended.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Awesome scanner literally zero wait time between loading. Very easy to use and no stupid upgrades and applications to purchase. One of the best features you have with this tool, you can upload the app to your phone. Your phone can store all the reports from your vehicle or vehicles. I used it straight from the box without any complications. Most definitely good for DIY Mechanics. A sensible investment and easy on the wallet.
Customer Review: A Game-Changer for DIY Car Maintenance! I’ve always preferred working on my own cars rather than relying on a mechanic for every little issue, so I picked up the BLCKTEC 460T OBD2 Scanner—and wow, this thing is a lifesaver. Right off the bat, I was impressed by how easy it is to use. The large screen and intuitive menu make navigating the features a breeze, even if you’re not a pro. I plugged it into my truck, and within seconds, it auto-detected my VIN and pulled up all the relevant data—no manual input needed. One of the first real tests came when my wife’s SUV threw a check engine light right before a road trip. Instead of panicking, I grabbed the 460T, ran a quick scan, and found out it was just a minor EVAP system leak (loose gas cap). A simple fix, and we were on our way. That alone saved us a trip to the shop and a diagnostic fee! The 12 reset functions are another huge plus. I recently changed my brakes and used the ABS bleeding function—something I’d normally need a mechanic for. I also love the built-in battery test, which helped me catch a weak battery in my car before it left me stranded. Some scanners can feel outdated quickly, but the free lifetime updates keep this one relevant. Plus, the build quality is solid—feels like a professional tool, not a cheap gadget. If you’re serious about saving money and keeping your car in top shape, the BLCKTEC 460T is worth every penny. It’s easy to use, packed with features, and gives you real peace of mind. I highly recommend it!

I’ve tested it on multiple cars and it connected fast and easy with both iOS and Android. The exclusive app it comes with is clean, easy to use, and gives real-time data without lag. I used it to read codes on a 2003 Highlander and a newer Camry — it pulled the error codes instantly, gave me a plain-English explanation, and let me clear the codes after repairs. Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Great product worth every penny app is a bit pricey if your not going to use it often but a must have tool for car repair tells you codes and exact issues also tells you step by step how to fix it. As well as an AI mechanic to asked question and call support as well it helps you know a price range for shops so you don’t get over charged for repairs. I used it yesterday when looking at a car which had no codes on the dash FIXD told me the pending codes and also made me aware the codes were recently cleared which gave me such piece of mind. Knowing a serious community de was cleared prior to me looking at the vehicle. I’ve decided to pay for the year subscription.
Customer Review: This little item works great, but it has a small caveat if you want its full functionality. As OBDII scanners go, this one does the job at a fraction of the price of a professional scanner. It shows all the information on the screen in an easy to set up software with an intuitive menu. Easy for even the least mechanically inclined people to use. However, you’ll need a separate iPhone, iPad, or Android device to install the app onto. It color codes the issues as to their importance. Green means you should be fine and it’s more of a suggestion than an issue, Yellow means check it out soon or have a mechanic take a look, Red means you should probably stop driving your car and set it on fire. Just kidding. But the information is displayed fully with the OBDII codes along with the explanations as to what they are. In my case, there was a Stored Code and a few Pending Codes. The Stored Code defined what the code is, however the Pending Codes showed ‘Unknown Issue’. I had to go online later to look them up. There’s also an option to clear the dash lights that did not work for me. So does the scanner work? Definitely. Is it worth it? Probably not, and here’s why. The caveat I mentioned? You have to purchase their Premium version at a yearly fee of $99.00 if you want to unlock the scanner’s full potential. It includes; “Cost and repair estimates from the Identifix database, Unlimited calls to our FIXD Mechanic Hotline for a trusted second opinion and DIY help from our network of ASE certified mechanics, And much more! FIXD Premium is a monthly subscription that is optional and is not required for use of the sensor.” After the purchase price of $37, that makes this little bugger $137 right off the bat, with an additional $99/year after that. However, they do let you try it free for one week (cancel at any time). If you’re using this scanner for multiple vehicles, and you’re getting paid for it, then you might find the fee not so much of an inconvenience. However, if you’re like me and are only using it on your daily driver, how often do you think you’re going to use it to qualify that fee? I used it this once, found the codes, and now it’ll probably sit on a shelf until the next time the need arises for it. And since I’m mechanically inclined, I can resolve the issues on my own. But, again, “the subscription is optional and is not required for use of the sensor.” If you want a scanner that offers more functionality with no extra costs involved then purchase one of those instead. But if you’re an average Joe or Jolene and you just want to see why your car has those dash lights always on, then this little guy does the job just fine.

One app took a long time to connect but finally did “car scanner elm obd2”. Not sure why though. But it works great after it connects and lots of customization abilities in free version, surprising! Customer Reviews
Customer Review: awesome OBD2 Dongle. pairs quickly with my droid phone and the connect is lightning fast, I’d say real time. I bought it to link up to Torque Pro app for my 2014 Mini Clubman S. but ended up using the OBDLink app instead. The OBDLink app has a great assortment of gauges and picks up all the signals and sensors on the N18 engine without setting up custom PIDS. This was a big surprise because that’s why I purchased Torque Pro. However (for BMW/MINI users) some of the sensors are not readily visible to Torque Pro without adding custom PID formulas – like boost readings. Great dongle, best I’ve had yet. Additionally, the OBDLink app also gives a lot of BMW specific trouble codes. that was a nice surprise as well.
Customer Review: Product works as expected. Very straight forward setup with the app that is provided. Works with ForScan, SideCar, Car Scanner, and of course OBD-Link.
