I bought it to link up to Torque Pro app for my 2014 Mini Clubman S. but ended up using the OBDLink app instead. The OBDLink app has a great assortment of gauges and picks up all the signals and sensors on the N18 engine without setting up custom PIDS. This was a big surprise because that’s why I purchased Torque Pro. However (for BMW/MINI users) some of the sensors are not readily visible to Torque Pro without adding custom PID formulas – like boost readings. Great dongle, best I’ve had yet. Additionally, the OBDLink app also gives a lot of BMW specific trouble codes. that was a nice surprise as well.

Customer Review: This is a very basic OBD2 scanner and battery tester. The unit starts right up as soon as it’s plugged into the OBD2 port. There are quite a few tests you can run on this little handheld. I have another OBD2 scanner and this one was about the same dimension, but it’s not as thick as my other one. It’s nearly the same size of my standard scanner, just not as thick or as heavy. The scanner seems to be kind of rugged so it should be able to survive being dropped.As far as funtionality, I ran it through most of the tests that were available, and it seems to have done pretty good. This is a very basic scanner that does not have a left or right arrow and isn’t a touch screen, but at the price I paid for this unit, it’s definitely worth it. While this won’t be my go to scanner, I will probably stay in my truck so I can lug it around in my truck instead of it being in my garage.The only issue I had with this scanner is that it glitched while I was running one of the tests, but it corrected itself once I unplugged and replugged it back into the port.Overall, it functioned just as well as my more expensive scanner but at a very reasonable price.

Customer Review: I already have an older OBDII scanner but that one would not link with my 2021 Jeep Renegade when a “Service engine” error message and icon showed up the dash. The ZMOON ZM201 arrived this afternoon and I plugged it in to the Jeep and it immediately read error code P0128 cooling system. The new scanner could not completely erase the code but it did let me reset the warning message and icon on the dash. Since the engine temps all display normal on the HUD during normal driving I suspect an intermittent sensor issue (which are common issues with this Jeep). The ZMOON ZM201 works as it should and I am very happy with it — it has already paid for itself.
