On the Gladiator I reset the halogen lights to LED and on the BMW I was able to “register” my new battery. Saved me alot of money from paying dealer. Works with JScan (iPhone) on the Jeep and with BimmerLink on the BMW. Recommended.

These are so much better than the old strictly DTC code readersI was able to easily check and monitor the short term and long term fuel trims (STFT/LTFT) on my son’s car which enabled troubleshooting of a persistent P0071 too lean condition.I use it with the CAR SCANNER PRO app which can be had for free or upgraded to pro like I did for a one time payment of like $15.So many parameters can be monitored and added to a custom dashboard so you can watch them live even.

Customer Review: I was able to use it both from my iPhone and Windows 10 tablet. It is a bit annoying that you cannot use the internet while you are using this but my use case was to fix a TPMS monitoring unavailable error and that is the least of my complaints. I was also able to connect with the recommended Auto Doctor on iOS but it does not give access to the CAN bus to access the TPMS system.Without any additional cable I was able to connect to Engine ECU. Then with Yellow cable I was able to access the TPMS ECU. There I was able to see an existing error code that I was able to clear. I was also able to read/set various parameters that identified the sensors and default settings of high/low values. Overall, impressed with the ELM327 at this low price. The overall experience of using with Multiecuscan is not for the faint of heart as it takes a few attempts to get good connections and work around the software bugs. The Multiecuscan forum talks about hardware mods needed for cheap ELMs, none of that was necessary for this ELM. Maybe tuning some of the software parameters would have resulted more seamless experience but that would reduce the DIY fun.

Functions perfectly whether scanning or requiring a live feedback for diagnostics. Highly recommended. Haven’t tried on iPad yet.One app took a long time to connect but finally did “car scanner elm obd2”. Not sure why though. Customer Review: This Foseal OBDII Scan Tool does exactly what it says – it plugs into the OBDII port in your vehicle, provides a private WiFi connection to your Smartphone, and allows you to use any of many compatible OBD apps to analyze vehicle data, performance stats, fault codes, and even (if the app allows) reset / clear errant fault codes (eg. O2 sensors in performance vehicles).On my iPhone, using the outstanding OBD Fusion app, the Foseal scan tool connected quickly, showed all vehicle data, and allowed fault code resets as promised.Of course – since this provides a private WiFi connection, if you want to watch vehicle performance while driving (RPMs, etc) then you won’t have network connectivity for your other apps, streaming music, etc. This is just a limitation on how these WiFi scanners work. It’s also why they are less-expensive and more reliable than their Bluetooth counterparts.In my vehicle, there are 2 “OBDII” ports – one of them is a standard OBDII port, and the other is reserved for the proprietary manufacturer diagnostic harness. If your vehicle has more than one port, make sure you connect this to the correct OBDII port, or it will not connect (even if the light is powered on).

Customer Review: This is a very handy tool to have if you’re a DIY kind of person. Just plug it in, connect with an app, and you have access to several dynamic parameters and can view/clear DTCs. I have used this on a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, 2005 Toyota Highlander, 2012 Toyota Corolla, and a 2006 VW Jetta. It worked perfectly on all 4 cars. I even used it to read a DTC that was causing the CEL to illuminate and was able to promptly fix the problem and the code cleared on its own. The free app that is designed to be used with this tool will get the job done. It has a premium feature for 4 bucks that allows you to save and record data and what not. In the future I may purchase a different app that is a little more intuitive and nice looking. The tool itself can be used on a car that isn’t running, however I don’t recommend it as it seems to use a lot of power and may drain your battery. Also, don’t leave it in when you are not using the car as it has a constant red LED and WIFI signal that will surely drain your battery! It’s not a set and forget kind of thing. It is worth noting that this is in fact a WIFI device and not Bluetooth. After looking at many other Scanners, many of them were bluetooth and when I bought this one I thought it was bluetooth too because I wasn’t paying attention. Not that big a deal, but I would’ve preferred a bluetooth version because the WIFI signal interrupts other WIFI and cellular connections so you can’t use the internet at the same time. Bluetooth would allow this. Just a thought in case you also didn’t notice that this was a WIFI device. BTW I use an iPhone 6 in case you were wondering about compatibility.

Customer Review: In my opinion, this thing has already paid for itself and saved me a lot of money. I recently had a check engine light come on, as has happened so many times on my other vehicles (or those of my family and friends), and didn’t think it was worth spending hundreds just to have it diagnosed at a garage. I ordered this because it was affordable, and while I didn’t expect it to be as high quality as it is, I figured it was worth the risk for the price.I use android devices (I’ve used this with my Blu R1 HD and a Samsung Galaxy S6, but it also worked on my iPad) and connecting to this reader was beyond easy. I simply plugged the code reader into my car, downloaded the “free” version of the Torque app from the Google Play Store, and then selected WiFi as the connection type (in the app).I immediately got all kinds of gauges and information on screen (half of which was over my non-mechanical head), but it worked flawlessly, and when viewing the “fault codes” it showed me the code as well as linked me to a description of the code (both general, and then sub-descriptions for specific vehicle makes). Turns out my light was on due to a O2 sensor failing, which I was able to fix.Now I can have my family stop by to have me check their cars too (which is funny since I know nothing about cars)!

Customer Review: This OBD reader works great. You just have to plug it in, connect to it using your phone (via WiFi) and then find and download an app you like. (I initially thought that you could only use the app they mention in the instructions, but you DO NOT. (In my case, the little pamphlet recommended an app called “FasLink X” which was terrible). I recommend using the “Car Scanner ELM OBD2” app instead, which is free on the app store).You’ll easily get your money’s worth here just from clearing recurring codes (… yes Subaru, I know you think the gas cap is still loose. Thanks for the fifteenth (mistaken) reminder this week… .) No real complaints for the price! I would (and have) bought this product more than once (lost the first one lol). Highly recommend!

Customer Review: I ordered this scan tool and it worked perfectly as advertised! The check engine light (“CEL”) turned on while driving my 2009 Honda Fit Sport in heavy traffic (of course). I then called the dealer and they quoted me $159 for diagnosing–that is, just plugging in a scanner and reading the code, which can be done in less than 2 minutes. Talk about highway robbery. Of course I wasn’t going to drop the better part of $200 just like that.Enter the Foseal Scan Tool. It is AMAZING! Seriously. Money-saver? Yes, sir. Easy to use? You got it. End all, be all? For the most part.Once you have on hand your code (or codes if you have such luck–mine was P0843), search online for what it represents/means or call an auto parts store (think big-box stores like AutoZone). Let me repeat, you can CALL…even if you live in the middle of nowhere, search the web for an auto parts store and tell them you have a code you’d like more information on. They may even have the parts that you can purchase to fix the problem. Once you obtain the parts, you can do it yourself or call a mechanic.I ended up paying $120 in parts (without the Foseal) and $0 in labor. My brother and I replaced the parts…and voilà, I got my car back for less than what I would have paid the dealer JUST to find out what was wrong with it. Maybe needless to say, but I’ll say it anyway: I LOVE THIS THING!

I loved it so much I gave it to a friend of mine who was constantly having a vehicle issues and I bought a new one. Anytime I need a clear code I hook up the Wi-Fi and I can even do it while driving. I use the app In Car Doc pro (you can use the free version but I like all the bells and whistles in the pro)

Customer Review: awesome OBD2 Dongle. pairs quickly with my droid phone and the connect is lightning fast, I’d say real time. I bought it to link up to Torque Pro app for my 2014 Mini Clubman S. but ended up using the OBDLink app instead. The OBDLink app has a great assortment of gauges and picks up all the signals and sensors on the N18 engine without setting up custom PIDS. This was a big surprise because that’s why I purchased Torque Pro. However (for BMW/MINI users) some of the sensors are not readily visible to Torque Pro without adding custom PID formulas – like boost readings. Great dongle, best I’ve had yet. Additionally, the OBDLink app also gives a lot of BMW specific trouble codes. that was a nice surprise as well.
