Sachin Tendulkar’s garage is a dream for many. He’s had some pretty amazing cars. Starting from Maruti 800 to BMW i8 he has a variety of rides in his garage. Here we are listing a few cars that he is a proud owner of.
Maruti 800
Unless you come from wealthy family, Maruti 800 is your first car. Same is the case with master blaster. He started with this small car over two decades ago. “It’s the first car I really liked. I drove that for some time, before slowly moving to other cars.”
Ferrari 360 Modena
Sachin became the world’s best batsman by 2002. He had the same record of 29 centuries as Sir Don Bradman and to celebrate this, Fiat gifted Tendulkar this super-hot red ride. Later in 2011, he sold this car to a businessman in Surat.
Nissan GT-R
After selling his Ferrari, he found a worthy replacement in a GT-R. It is capable of hitting 300kph mark and even has “launch control”.
BMW “30 Jahre M5” Limited Edition
According to Tendulkar, ““This is the 30th year anniversary car and only 300 of these cars were made around the world. It’s currently the most powerful BMW around.” According to our knowledge, this is also one of its type in the country. Its turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 produces 600hp, earning itself a well-deserved M badge.
BMW X5 M
Sachin had this car before even BMW launched it in India. This was a perk of being a brand ambassador.
BMW X5 M50d
This is one of the world’s most powerful and fastest diesel SUVs. The 3-litre six-cylinder turbocharged engine puts out 381hp of power and fires this car from 0-100kph in 5.3 seconds. BMW imported this one for him, when he was signed as an ambassador.
BMW i8
I think it’s the best handling car I have driven in my life. People might say that I am their brand ambassador and that’s why I am saying this. But I’ve had some serious cars – among friends, we’ve owned Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Audis, Mercedes, whatever. Straight line, I mean, any car would handle well. But the corners with the i8 are just phenomenal. It’s literally like a go-kart.” The top most ride in his garage.
BMW 750 Li M Sport
The 6th BMW in his collection- is the customized BMW 750 Li M Sport. Being the brand ambassador, Sachin launched this car at the Auto Expo held back in 2015. Sachin’s initials were emblazoned on the headset of the 750 Li as an effort to customize it for the master blaster. With an 8 cylinder petrol engine and a top speed of 250 kmph, the car goes from 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds.
