Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Awesome OBD2 Dongle. Pairs quickly with my droid phone and the connect is lightning fast, I’d say real time. I bought it to link up to Torque Pro app for my 2014 Mini Clubman S but ended up using the OBDLink app instead. The OBDLink app has a great assortment of gauges and picks up all the signals and sensors on the N18 engine without setting up custom PIDS. This was a big surprise because that’s why I purchased Torque Pro. However (for BMW/MINI users) some of the sensors are not readily visible to Torque Pro without adding custom PID formulas – like boost readings. Great dongle, best I’ve had yet. Additionally, the OBDLink app also gives a lot of BMW-specific trouble codes. That was a nice surprise as well.”
Customer Review: “Product works as expected. Very straightforward setup with the app that is provided. Works with ForScan, SideCar, Car Scanner, and of course OBD-Link.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “Easy to use, just plug it in. Worked for my 2025 Jeep Gladiator and 2020 BMW M2. On the Gladiator I reset the halogen lights to LED and on the BMW I was able to ‘register’ my new battery. Saved me alot of money from paying dealer. Works with JScan (iPhone) on the Jeep and with BimmerLink on the BMW. Recommended.”
Customer Review: “Wow. These are so much better than the old strictly DTC code readers. I was able to easily check and monitor the short term and long term fuel trims (STFT/LTFT) on my son’s car which enabled troubleshooting of a persistent P0071 too lean condition. I use it with the CAR SCANNER PRO app which can be had for free or upgraded to pro like I did for a one time payment of like $15. So many parameters can be monitored and added to a custom dashboard so you can watch them live even.”

I’ve tested it on multiple cars and it connected fast and easy with both iOS and Android. The exclusive app it comes with is clean, easy to use, and gives real-time data without lag. I used it to read codes on a 2003 Highlander and a newer Camry — it pulled the error codes instantly, gave me a plain-English explanation, and let me clear the codes after repairs. It also shows live data like engine RPMs, fuel trim, and temperature, which is great when diagnosing deeper issues or doing performance checks. Bluetooth connection was stable (version 5.4 is no joke) and pairing was smooth. Just make sure you download the right app and give it the permissions it needs. Bottom line: This little scanner already saved me money and time. If you’re a DIY mechanic, or just want to stop guessing why your check engine light is on — get this. It’s cheap insurance.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I have been using this obd2 scanner for almost a year, and I could not be happier about its function and quality. I use it to check my car, my family’s cars, and even my neighbor’s car, and it always works perfectly. It not only reads the error codes but also deletes them, and this is a great function because not all scanners can delete codes. My favorite feature is the whole system scan, it scans everything and helps you understand the complete health conditions of your vehicle, including engine, ABS, SRS, transmission, etc. If there is an error code, the App will tell you the code definition, layman’s definition, and effect on the vehicle, so even people who don’t have car knowledge can understand. My neighbor told me that the repair shop charged him $120 for just scanning his car, and this scanner is only $70, and I can use it to scan an unlimited number of cars, so it saves me a lot of money. Sometimes I do a whole system scan even when there is no issue, just to make sure everything is right. Another good thing about the product is that the companion App RS2 is free, no subscription fee. I saw some reviews here saying that they have to pay for the App, I don’t think that is true because I have never been charged. The scanner can also help you prepare for the SMOG test. If your car is older than 10 years, like mine, the DMV will ask you to do a SMOG test every 2 years. The scanner has 3 color lights on the App, and if you see a green, that means you can pass the SMOG, and if you see yellow or red, that means your car will not pass SMOG check and the App will tell you what repair is needed to pass the test, and this is very convenient. The scanner has a lot of functions and provides more information than I share, and you can explore it yourself, it is fun. I will recommend this product to every car owner.”
Customer Review: “As a seasoned mechanic with over a decade of experience, I’ve used many different scan tools, including professional ones that cost thousands of dollars. However, the block tech 430, with a price tag less than $90, introduced into my shop by fellow technicians surprised me. The product uses a proprietary App called RepairSolutions2, which is free and no subscription fee, and the firmware update is also free, great for the business. The App setup process is easy and intuitive. There is no limitation on how many vehicles you can scan, and all the vehicle scan reports are stored in the App (cloud, I guess), and you can share or print the reports, which is very convenient. Some other scan tools in the market charge a subscription fee of $50 or $100, and they don’t tell you upfront, which I consider dishonest. One feature I particularly appreciate is that the 430 works offline. Last Thursday, a customer called me when their vehicle wouldn’t start. I was able to use the app without needing Wi-Fi or LTE and quickly pinpoint a fault with the spark plug based on the engine code. It was truly impressive and solidified my belief that this is a perfect tool for my needs. When a 2015 Camry came in with a check engine light, the app swiftly pinpointed a faulty coolant sensor (code: P1290), allowing me to identify and fix an open harness issue between the sensor and ECM, resolving the problem efficiently. Another example, a P0420 code indicated an issue with the catalyst system efficiency in a 2022 Toyota Highlander, the tool facilitated a thorough diagnosis, enabling me to clean the catalyst system and restore the functionality. The tool also works on European vehicles such as tire and brake light issues, and I also used it for battery status check many times, which also works pretty well. The inclusion of information such as OEM maintenance schedules, predicted repairs based on mileage, OEM warranty details, TSB, and recall information adds immense value to both me and my customers. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to take care of their vehicles, professional and DIYer.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I’m a Dealer who buys tons of cars at auctions. I use this scanner with me to make sure cars don’t have codes or to scan codes on cars. This thing is solid. Small, works fast, gives good diags. I’ve bought a couple of these cuz I’ve forgotten them in cars at the auction and it shocks me it’s only 40 bucks. Really good quality product for the price. I also have the blue version specifically for Audis and VW’s and that one is nice as well.”
Customer Review: “I live in Atlanta Georgia and my son lives in Houston Texas. He drives a 2020 vehicle. He called complaining about his car was making a loud noise. He was supposed to start a new job and this was going to stop him from going to his new job on Monday. This happened on a Saturday afternoon. So he used an app called my mechanic. The mechanic came to the home charge him $85 to tell him that he had a timing change problem. I sent this product to my son’s house overnight it was there the next morning. My son hooked it up to his car turned it on and it gave him a simple diagnosis. He looked it up on YouTube figured how to fix it on his own and his car runs normal again. This thing saved me $1600 😂 mechanic should use this as a backup. They try to listen to the car like they used to back in a day. Being an auto mechanic used to be a science. This thing has made it an art! It was so easy to use even a fifth grader could use it. It was definitely reliable because after it provided the diagnosis my son was able to fix the problem himself. The connection is easy thank goodness cars today have universal connections. It’s got a cool appearance it’s lightweight and he can take it anywhere with them. And the readability was perfect enough for him to go on YouTube and figure it out on his own. I’m going to send one of these to all of my children. Great advice to provide them for Christmas especially if they have older cars.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “The Ultimate Diagnostic Powerhouse (5/5 Stars) I’ve used several scanners, but the Innova 5610 is in a league of its own. It’s not just a code reader; it’s a professional-grade diagnostic tool that saves me hundreds in dealership fees. What I Love: Bidirectional Control: This is the game-changer. I can actually send commands to the car—like testing the fuel pump, AC clutch, or electronic parking brakes—to see exactly what’s failing before I start pulling parts. Dealership-Level Features: It handles advanced tasks like ABS bleeding, battery initialization, and oil light resets that most consumer scanners can’t touch. Comprehensive Coverage: It provides enhanced diagnostics for ABS, SRS (airbags), transmission, and engine systems across almost all vehicles from 1996 and newer. Repair Integration: The Bluetooth pairing with the RepairSolutions 2 app is seamless, giving me access to a massive database of verified fixes for the specific codes it finds. Verdict: If you’re a serious DIYer or a mechanic who wants dealership-level calibration and relearn capabilities at a fraction of the cost, this is the one to get. It’s robust, fast, and incredibly intuitive.”
Customer Review: “The 2025 Kingbolen Ediag Elite OBD2 scanner came in a sleek/modern design. It arrived inside its own little case and was nicely packaged. The black and silver reinvented design was somewhat appealing, but mostly the lifetime free software update (no yearly renewal) was the deal breaker for me. The device came packed with all vehicle systems, 15 service resets, and lifetime free software update. It seems solid enough although not rubberized on the outside like the other Ediag. Instructions on how to install the Ediag app and create an account to activate the device were included in the box. When the device is plugged into the OBD2 port of the car, it shows a green light; once you access the Ediag app and tap any function, the light turns blue. The first time, you may have to wait a little for the system to be updated for your specific vehicle. Then, you can run a health test that will show you the overall state of your vehicle while pinpointing each specific issue. You have the option to save the findings as a report or PDF file and they will be saved in the app icon titled “Reports”; it also has an app icon titled “History” that contains all the vehicles that you have diagnosed with the scanner. This is an amazing device for that price and it comes with so many perks. While I wish that the manufacturer would have kept the outside rubber cover in the Ediag Elite design for added protection, I really like the modern look of the device. When not in use, I will make sure to keep the device in its hard case so that it lasts a long time allowing me to enjoy the free lifetime updates. Currently, the cost of the device is around $100 on Amazon. For the things I was able to observe, do, and even manipulate in my vehicles with the Ediag Elite (easily turned off that TPMS light), it is worth every penny in my opinion. This device can access the immobilizer to program keys for some (not all) vehicles. The special functions I tested all worked well and without any issue. At this price and for the time being, I think that it is fair to give this device a rating of 4.75 out 5 as it meets expectations for functionality, connectivity, ease of use, portability, and level of accuracy. If the outside of the device was rubberized, I would have definitely given it the full 5 stars in my first impression review. I will report back if I see any change in these expectations as I continue to use the device.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “First off, I’m pretty impressed with the VDIAGTOOL D200 OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner. You have the power of a diagnostic tablet without having to lug one around. I use a similar one from Mopar everyday and I love the concept of less is more. For customer’s vehicles that aren’t Stellantis brand this fills the gap nicely. Setup was simple simply plug it in to the port, create an account and you’re good to go. It has tons of features that are very helpful whether you are a seasoned technician or an everyday consumer looking to save a few bucks from the shop. A few features I found useful are as follows: live data which is extremely useful when trying to pinpoint a concern in live time (my personal favorite part of any diagnostic tool), scan feature which will scan your entire vehicle and show you any DTC’s (Codes) some that are even hidden when using my other scan tools, links next to the codes that will give you a better idea of why the codes are set, several vehicle reset and learning features that aren’t available with certain tiers of other brands, power similar to those of the big brands do at a fraction of the price (One of the biggest upsides for someone advanced or new to Automotive Repair looking to professionally repair while saving money on cost as well), live customer service. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this device. It gives me the power and assistance to properly diagnose a vehicle in a timely manner regardless of Brand of vehicles. I find the VDIAGTOOL D200 will be useful for anyone new to the automotive repair industry, or a seasoned veteran looking to replace or add to their arsenal. It is packed full of features you would have to spend elsewhere. At the price point it may even pay for it self the first time used considering it cost $200/hr at the shop I’m at for an hr of diag alone.”
Customer Review: “I will be very honest, this tool has more capabilities than what any mechanic or technician will use during normal day to day vehicle scanning. First, I love it includes a storage mini case, inside you have the USB C and adapter but so far I don’t know for what or when I’m going to use them. The setup was very easy, you have to download and install all the updates to be able to use it. The special functions is my favorite part to use, here you can do a lot of normal routine resets and also some setup like automatic window reset, on the diagnostic section I was able to make recordings of engine data and also play them back later without having the vehicle connected to the VCI. This tool has great capabilities for this price, also the “Mall” inside the app you can buy to get even more functionality including some module programming abilities but I have not get those at the moment. The output test for each module is very nice, I was able to test door locks without touching the lock and unlock buttons, also the park release solenoid activation without having to press the brake pedal, this little scanner can do a lot. I’m very happy with it and looking to see what else I find during later uses, really recommend it to have inside you car for any emergencies.”
Complete Buying Guide for Best Obd2 Scanner With Bluetooth
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing the best OBD2 scanner with Bluetooth, it’s vital to consider compatibility with your vehicle and smartphone, the types of diagnostics it can perform, and how user-friendly the device and app are. Look for scanners that support your car’s make and model and provide the features you need, like live data, code reading, and clearing, or advanced bi-directional controls. Bluetooth version also matters — newer versions typically offer faster, more stable connections. Additionally, consider whether the scanner requires subscriptions or if software updates are free, as this affects long-term usability and costs.
Budget Planning
OBD2 Bluetooth scanners range from budget-friendly basic code readers to advanced professional-level diagnostic tools. If you only need to check and clear engine codes, an affordable scanner with generic OBD-II support will suffice. For more in-depth diagnostics, bi-directional testing, and vehicle system resets, expect to invest more. Factor in potential app subscription fees if applicable. It’s worth spending a bit more upfront to avoid recurring costs and get a scanner that grows with your needs.
Final Thoughts
Investing in the right Bluetooth OBD2 scanner can save you time and money by allowing quick diagnostics and maintenance at home. Assess what features you need, check compatibility with your vehicle and phone, and choose a scanner with reliable customer support and software updates. With the options outlined above, you’re well-equipped to make an informed purchase that keeps your vehicle running smoothly.
