Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Easy to use, just plug it in. Worked for my 2025 Jeep Gladiator and 2020 BMW M2. On the Gladiator I reset the halogen lights to LED and on the BMW I was able to “register” my new battery. Saved me alot of money from paying dealer. Works with JScan (iPhone) on the Jeep and with BimmerLink on the BMW. Recommended.
Customer Review: Wow. These are so much better than the old strictly DTC code readersI was able to easily check and monitor the short term and long term fuel trims (STFT/LTFT) on my son’s car which enabled troubleshooting of a persistent P0071 too lean condition.I use it with the CAR SCANNER PRO app which can be had for free or upgraded to pro like I did for a one time payment of like $15.So many parameters can be monitored and added to a custom dashboard so you can watch them live even.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Great product worth every penny app is a bit pricey if your not going to use it often but a must have tool for car repair tells you codes and exact issues also tells you step by step how to fix it. As well as an AI mechanic to asked question and call support as well it helps you know a price range for shops so you don’t get over charged for repairs. I used it yesterday when looking at a car which had no codes on the dash FIXD told me the pending codes and also made me aware the codes were recently cleared which gave me such piece of mind. Knowing a serious community de was cleared prior to me looking at the vehicle. I’ve decided to pay for the year subscription
Customer Review: This little item works great, but it has a small caveat if you want its full functionality. As OBDII scanners go, this one does the job at a fraction of the price of a professional scanner. It shows all the information on the screen in an easy to set up software with an intuitive menu. Easy for even the least mechanically inclined people to use. However, you’ll need a separate iPhone, iPad, or Android device to install the app onto.It color codes the issues as to their importance. Green means you should be fine and it’s more of a suggestion than an issue, Yellow means check it out soon or have a mechanic take a look, Red means you should probably stop driving your car and set it on fire. Just kidding. But the information is displayed fully with the OBDII codes along with the explanations as to what they are. In my case, there was a Stored Code and a few Pending Codes. The Stored Code defined what the code is, however the Pending Codes showed ‘Unknown Issue’. I had to go online later to look them up. There’s also an option to clear the dash lights that did not work for me. So does the scanner work? Definitely. Is it worth it? Probably not, and here’s why.The caveat I mentioned? You have to purchase their Premium version at a yearly fee of $99.00 if you want to unlock the scanner’s full potential. It includes;”Cost and repair estimates from the Identifix database, Unlimited calls to our FIXD Mechanic Hotline for a trusted second opinion and DIY help from our network of ASE certified mechanics, And much more! FIXD Premium is a monthly subscription that is optional and is not required for use of the sensor.”After the purchase price of $37, that makes this little bugger $137 right off the bat, with an additional $99/year after that. However, they do let you try it free for one week (cancel at any time). If you’re using this scanner for multiple vehicles, and you’re getting paid for it, then you might find the fee not so much of an inconvenience. However, if you’re like me and are only using it on your daily driver, how often do you think you’re going to use it to qualify that fee? I used it this once, found the codes, and now it’ll probably sit on a shelf until the next time the need arises for it. And since I’m mechanically inclined, I can resolve the issues on my own. But, again, “the subscription is optional and is not required for use of the sensor.”If you want a scanner that offers more functionality with no extra costs involved then purchase one of those instead. But if you’re an average Joe or Jolene and you just want to see why your car has those dash lights always on, then this little guy does the job just fine.

I’ve tested it on multiple cars and it connected fast and easy with both iOS and Android. The exclusive app it comes with is clean, easy to use, and gives real-time data without lag.I used it to read codes on a 2003 Highlander and a newer Camry — it pulled the error codes instantly, gave me a plain-English explanation, and let me clear the codes after repairs. It also shows live data like engine RPMs, fuel trim, and temperature, which is great when diagnosing deeper issues or doing performance checks.Bluetooth connection was stable (version 5.4 is no joke) and pairing was smooth. Customer Reviews
Customer Review: awesome OBD2 Dongle. pairs quickly with my droid phone and the connect is lightning fast, I’d say real time. I bought it to link up to Torque Pro app for my 2014 Mini Clubman S. but ended up using the OBDLink app instead. The OBDLink app has a great assortment of gauges and picks up all the signals and sensors on the N18 engine without setting up custom PIDS. This was a big surprise because that’s why I purchased Torque Pro. However (for BMW/MINI users) some of the sensors are not readily visible to Torque Pro without adding custom PID formulas – like boost readings. Great dongle, best I’ve had yet. Additionally, the OBDLink app also gives a lot of BMW specific trouble codes. that was a nice surprise as well.
Customer Review: Product works as expected. Very straight forward setup with the app that is provided. Works with ForScan, SideCar, Car Scanner, and of course OBD-Link.

Customer Review: Works great with my iPhone 16Pro running iOS 26.3 and 26.2.1. Just used this morning with Carista app on iPhone customizing my 4Runner settings. Haven’t tried on iPad yet.One app took a long time to connect but finally did “car scanner elm obd2”. Not sure why though. But it works great after it connects and lots of customization abilities in free version, surprising! But great.
Customer Review: My second unit. I had one for my JKU. Now have a Gladiator. Works great. Way cheaper and easier to operate than the tazer ones.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I have been using this obd2 scanner for almost a year, and I could not be happier about its function and quality. I use it to check my car, my family’s cars, and even my neighbor’s car, and it always works perfectly. It not only reads the error codes but also deletes them, and this is a great function because not all scanners can delete codes. My favorite feature is the whole system scan, it scans everything and helps you understand the complete health conditions of your vehicle, including engine, ABS, SRS, transmission, etc. If there is an error code, the App will tell you the code definition, layman’s definition, and effect on the vehicle, so even people who don’t have car knowledge can understand. My neighbor told me that the repair shop charged him $120 for just scanning his car, and this scanner is only $70, and I can use it to scan an unlimited number of cars, so it saves me a lot of money. Sometimes I do a whole system scan even when there is no issue, just to make sure everything is right.Another good thing about the product is that the companion App RS2 is free, no subscription fee. I saw some reviews here saying that they have to pay for the App, I don’t think that is true because I have never been charged. The scanner can also help you prepare for the SMOG test. If your car is older than 10 years, like mine, the DMV will ask you to do a SMOG test every 2 years. The scanner has 3 color lights on the App, and if you see a green, that means you can pass the SMOG, and if you see yellow or red, that means your car will not pass SMOG check and the App will tell you what repair is needed to pass the test, and this is very convenient. The scanner has a lot of functions and provides more information than I share, and you can explore it yourself, it is fun. I will recommend this product to every car owner.
Customer Review: As a seasoned mechanic with over a decade of experience, I’ve used many different scan tools, including professional ones that cost thousands of dollars. However, the block tech 430, with a price tag less than $90, introduced into my shop by fellow technicians surprised me.The product uses a proprietary App called RepairSoluitons2, which is free and no subscription fee, and the firmware update is also free, great for the business. The App setup process is easy and intuitive. There is no limitation on how many vehicles you can scan, and all the vehicle scan reports are stored in the App (cloud, I guess), and you can share or print the reports, which is very convenient. Some other scan tools in the market charge a subscription fee of $50 or $100, and they don’t tell you upfront, which I consider dishonest. One feature I particularly appreciate is that the 430 works offline. Last Thursday, a customer called me when their vehicle wouldn’t start. I was able to use the app without needing Wi-Fi or LTE and quickly pinpoint a fault with the spark plug based on the engine code. It was truly impressive and solidified my belief that this is a perfect tool for my needs. When a 2015 Camry came in with a check engine light, the app swiftly pinpointed a faulty coolant sensor (code: P1290), allowing me to identify and fix an open harness issue between the sensor and ECM, resolving the problem efficiently.Another example, a P0420 code indicated an issue with the catalyst system efficiency in a 2022 Toyota Highlander, the tool facilitated a thorough diagnosis, enabling me to clean the catalyst system and restore the functionality. The tool also works on European vehicles such as tire and brake light issues, and I also used it for battery status check many times, which also works pretty well. The inclusion of information such as OEM maintenance schedules, predicted repairs based on mileage, OEM warranty details, TSB, and recall information adds immense value to both me and my customers.I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to take care of their vehicles, professional and DIYer.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: For the price? It’s great! Will it do everything an instrument costing over a hundred- to multi-thousand dollars will do? Nope. But for reading and clearing codes (and much more), it’s a terrific buy!I was away from home for a few days when I got a Check Engine Light (CEL) in my ’02 Miata. I have a much more sophisticated reader, but it was home and I wasn’t. After downloading and installing the app on my phone, the FlyroadUp scanner quickly showed me that the CEL code was not critical; I cleared it and was on my way!I plan to buy more and just plug ’em in and leave ’em on all my vehicles.
Customer Review: My TDI is deleted and tuned and throws a turbo over boost CEL. It decreases power when the light is on. I leave this plugged in to my OBD port, connect Bluetooth, scan and erase code within a minute.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Used it on my 2014 Camry, found the problem right away, it was the oxygen sensor, and the App provided a link to purchase the part, excellent. I used it on several different cars, and it worked very well. The product used a proprietary App, RepairSolutions2, which is very user friendly, easy to set up, quick, and intuitive. It gave me a lot of useful information, including layman’s definition and effect on the car, which is super helpful and saved me a lot of time googling and searching on YouTube. One thing I don’t like is that it requires you to provide an email and create an account , however, in return, it also provides free cloud space to store all your car scan reports that you can access whenever you need it, which is very convenient. Also, I can confirm that the App is free, no subscription fee. I had a FIXD scanner, and it required a subscription fee.I have other scanners that I purchased in the past, they are more expensive and not as good as this block tech scanner. For the price, this dongle works perfectly and gives me a lot of relevant and useful information, and I will rank it number one among all the scanners I have. It is worth every penny.
Customer Review: For years, I have relied on a cheap wired OBD2 scanner and had to Google to understand the codes. Then a friend recommended this scanner to me, and I really love it. The BLCKTEC OBD2 scanner saves me a lot of time by providing code definition, layman’s definition, and effect on the car, right on the App. Now, I can now understand the problem of my car immediately.Setting up the required scanning app, RepairSolutions2, on my Android phone was straightforward. This scanner lets you choose and monitor several real-time car parameters in both table and graph formats, even without an internet connection. Most importantly, it can generate comprehensive car scan reports, which include multiple pages describing the car issues and its general service needs.I’m glad I made this purchase because it’s going to save me a significant amount on repair shop diagnostic costs. The last time I checked, a Honda dealership charged about $150 for a scanner analysis; with inflation, it’s probably even more expensive now.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This little device saved me twice. I had one like it that I bought off a different site that would only bring up my 2002 Ford Mustang as a Subaru. I couldn’t get it to read a code that showed up from a Service Engine Soon light that came on and anything it did bring up looked like I had 20 problems. I bought this hoping it would do the trick and it was easy to install and the app worked perfect. I got the code I needed and was able to immediately identify the problem which was an overheat issue which I found out came from a bad thermostat. Well after I installed the thermostat and everything looked good I needed to clear the code so I opened up the app and for the sake of just checking I asked to give me the code again. This time if found 2 other codes which at first confused me but almost immediately realized I had unplugged a wire to get at the thermostat so it reminded me to plug that back in. After I completed that task I was able to clear all codes from the app. I highly recommend this device. It was very inexpensive for what it will do and I’ll be happy to have it around for all my vehicles if that unexpected check engine or service engine soon light comes on.
Customer Review: It worked perfectly on my 2011 Chevy Cruze. I just had to connect it to the port and open the app. It syncs without any problems and gives me a huge amount of data. It’s just as good as a scanner from a garage. You can see the faulty codes and even reset them. Highly recommended. For the price and what it offers, it’s perfect. I don’t really know how many other cars it’s compatible with, but it works perfectly on my Chevy.
