Can’t do brake jobs without being able to release the electronic brake on rear wheels.Some things to know:Look on the box to find the app to download. No QR code to scan.I tested it on my Iphone 11 and android tablet. Works on both.It takes time to connect phone/tablet to dongle the first time. Be patient!Make sure your Bluetooth is activated on phone or tablet.DO NOT TRY TO CONNECT BLUETOOTH ON PHONE OR TABLET. Use the Bluetooth icon on top left corner of KDIAG main page.On Iphone devices you have to go into settings to allow the KDIAG to connect to apple devices. It’s an apple thing! Hard to beat for what you get with this unit, particularly because it’s currently on sale as I’m writing this review. I tested this tool on my 3 vehicles without any issues. Two of them had zero codes, but one needed a service reset which was a breeze with the S608. On my Range Rover, I was able to successfully diagnose a bad connection to the SRS (air bag) on the driver’s side. I’ve known about this issue, but the S608 was able to quickly confirm it. I reset the code with ease.I’ll add some pros and cons (yes, there are some) below, but here’s a couple highlights. What I like most is how easy it is to use. It boots right up to the main screen with nice large icons. The physical buttons on the right are a nice touch that add to the experience, instead being an unnecessary throwback to the old school diag tools. They have a good, solid feel to them and respond well. The menus are simple and straightforward, and that’s a good thing. I never felt like I had to search for any functions.The live data streams work great and the ability to graph them is a huge bonus. This tool has a lot of premium features more commonplace on expensive units, hence the great value.The lifetime software updates blew my mind. Almost no one does that. It’s a little ridiculous that you pay $1000+ for a high-functioning scanner, then get hit with subscription fees of hundreds of dollars a year after your initial subscription period ends. You literally never have to worry about that here and that’s amazing.Lastly the hardware/software combo is perfect as I never experienced any lag. I have a $1300 tool by a different manufacturer and this one blows that away in terms of speed. Granted the $1300 tool performs many more functions, but it’s a chore to use waiting for menus to come up. Not so, here. I ordered it from the seller “SoctechDirect”. I have multiple points for review:1. Genuine ELM237 chip: I used an Android app called “ELM327 Identifier” to test the firmware version of the ELM327 chip used in this scanner, and it turned out to be version 2.2 (which is the second to latest version, as of November 2020). This is a good thing, as most cheap OBD scanners on Amazon and Ebay have either version 1.4 (which could be genuine or fake), or version 1.5 (which is absolutely fake, as ELM Electronics never made a version 1.5 chip). So this thing seems to be using a genuine ELM327 chip. You can go to Wikipedia to read more about EML327 versions and their features. But most importantly, this is not a fake product (or maybe a very good fake that passed the test?), and uses a fairly new version of the chip.2. First impressions on quality: This is a well made scanner. It is compact in size, and the build quality looks good. They included a small (literally) but detailed instruction manual, which also mentions a few different apps that can be downloaded and used with this scanner. The app list is not exhaustive, as OBD protocol is universal and any OBD app should work with this scanner. The instruction manual was easy to understand and did not have spelling and grammatical errors (which talks about the quality control of the company, because mis-translated or entirely non-existent instructions are very common nowadays).3. My experience: I used it with the Torque app, on my old Samsung phone, running Android version 5. No problems with Bluetooth connectivity. I was able to successfully diagnose an ignition coil issue. I have not used it a lot yet, and I cannot talk about its longevity or customer support. If some issue comes up later on, I will update this review. Otherwise, it looks like a good product so far, and I am satisfied. Among entry level scanners, this one seems to be on the higher end of quality.

Downloaded the Dr. Prius app and turned that beeping off. Now my Prius beeps once when put in reverse.
